Joy Cone Santa-Hat Bites

Holiday cooking, holiday baking, holiday crafts… it can all be so complicated and time consuming. Don’t you wish there was something you could make that’s fun, delicious, and simple enough for the kids to help make? If that’s the case, then Joy Cone’s Santa-Hat Bites are a holiday miracle!

Put away the cookbooks, mixing bowls, pine cones, holly, and tinsel, and get ready for some quick and easy holiday treats that are almost as much fun to make as they are to eat.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 lb Strawberries
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tbsp. Powdered Sugar
  • Joy Mini Cups

Directions:

Chill metal bowl and beaters in freezer until very cold. Remove from freezer and combine heavy cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. Attach beaters to mixer and beat on high until stiff peaks appear, about 5 minutes.

Scoop whipped cream into a plastic zipper bag. Zip bag almost completely, leaving a bit of room for air to escape. Begin twisting bag until whipped cream is in a single corner. Carefully, with scissors, cut a small snip off of the corner of the bag so that whipped cream can be piped into cones. (As always, scissors should be kept out of the reach of small children.)

Select a few small strawberries and wash. Cut tops off of strawberries so that the top of the berry is flat. (Choose strawberries you think will nicely fit atop the cone as is shown in photo.)

Take a few Joy Mini Cups and pipe whipped cream into the cone and overflow by a couple of inches. With the bag, top the tip of the strawberry with a small dollop of whipped cream. Take a strawberry, flat side down, and gently place on top of whipped cream.

Eat and be merry!
