What you’ll need:
Optional:
Directions
STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 350°. Prepare the cupcake tin by placing the JOY cones directly in each cupcake cavity.
STEP 2: Mix the cake mix according to the directions on the box.
STEP 3: Pour the cake batter directly into the JOY cones filling each cone 3/4 of the way full to the first ridge in the cone.
STEP 4: Place the cupcake tin that holds the JOY cones gently in the oven. Bake the cones filled with cake mix for 15-17 minutes.
STEP 5: While the cupcakes are baking, make the chocolate acorns: Remove wrappers from chocolate kisses. Melt mini chocolate chips according to package directions. Stir and let slightly cool. Lightly dip the bottom of the chocolate kisses in the melted chocolate and place on the mini vanilla wafer cookie. (As the melted chocolate cools, it will secure the kisses to the wafer.) Repeat for each acorn. (Note: Alternatively, you can also place the melted chocolate in a plastic sandwich bag cutting the corner tip off to pipe a small dab of the melted chocolate on the cookie and place the chocolate kiss on the cookie.)
Step 6: Once the cupcake cones have been baked and fully cooled, it’s time to frost your JOY cupcake cones! Prepare your piping bag with the cream cheese frosting using a 1M tip to create that soft-serve ice cream appearance.
Step 7: Top your frosted JOY cupcake cones with the prepared and cooled chocolate acorns and festive fall sprinkles! Serve immediately and ENJOY!
