Now that autumn has finally arrived, it’s time to relax and enjoy all the delicious fruits that a bountiful harvest brings. While pumpkin spice is often associated with the season, we think the complex and flavorful combination of mixed berries is one of life’s most wonderful autumnal pleasures.
Our Autumn Mixed Berry Crisp combines the slightly tart flavor of berries with the sweetness of streusel, topped with vanilla ice cream, and served in our tasty enJOY-a-Bowls. Easy to make, this perfectly delightful treat will be an in-demand family-favorite for many months to come.
What you’ll need:
Directions:
For Berries: In medium saucepan, combine mixed berries, sugar, and lemon juice. Bring mixture to boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium until thickened.
Place butter into small bowl and microwave until melted.
For Streusel: In separate medium-sized bowl, place flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Stir to combine. Pour melted butter into mixture and stir until incorporated.
Spray 6” round pan with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the warm, thickened berries into dish and spread to coat evenly. Finally, sprinkle streusel mixture over top of berries taking care to completely coat top.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
Once Mixed Berry Crisp has cooled, scoop a single scoop of vanilla ice cream into enJOY-a-Bowl and top one scoop of Autumn Mixed Berry Crisp.
