JOB SUMMARY:

This employee will perform routine preventative maintenance per a set schedule as well as respond to unscheduled repairs in a safe and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support, installation, rebuilding, and maintenance of all production equipment such as baking ovens, conveyor systems, and a variety of packaging and support equipment
Perform routine preventative maintenance per a set schedule as well as respond to unscheduled repairs in a safe and timely manner
Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be highly motivated, able to follow direction, and perform assigned work duties independently with minimal supervision
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Must be able to speak, listen, and openly communicate with team members
Able to read, understand, and strictly follow written procedures for multiple controlled processes
Good understanding of and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Policies (GMP)
Must be organized and maintain work area
Able to identify areas that need attention and either address or report as necessary
Must be able to accurately take instructions and keep records
This position involves regular bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting
Required to stand on their feet and/ or walk up to 12 hours per day
Must be able to regularly; lift up to 100#, have full use of arms and legs and climb stairs to access all areas of the plant and offices
Must be able to detect audible tones and alarms
Must maintain a high degree of forklift operation skills
Must have sufficient hand tools required to perform duties of the Production Maintenance Technician (company provides all specialized and consumable tools/equipment)
Must be able to work all shifts in a seven day a week rotation
Adherence to the company attendance policy is required, including expectations of punctuality and limited unapproved absences

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of three years’ experience in a related field or comparable education
Must demonstrate a good Electro-Mechanical aptitude and have a work history showing multitasking ability
Must be able to demonstrate ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Welding experience a plus
PLC experience a plus
Must have demonstrated good work habits and attendance
