Ice Cream Flavors Across America

Ice Cream Flavors Across America

At Joy Cone, we love ice cream – it’s our other half! We think every flavor tastes good with a Joy Cone, but people across the United States have different opinions on what ice cream flavor reigns supreme.

According to the International Dairy Foods Association, the top-selling ice cream flavors in America are vanilla, chocolate, cookies ‘n’ cream, mint chocolate chip, chocolate chip cookie dough, butter pecan, cookie dough, strawberry, moose tracks, and Neapolitan.

However, there are also regional favorites, such as Grape-Nut ice cream. New England is famous for this flavor. It’s a combination of vanilla ice cream and soft bits of Grape-Nut cereal. Blue moon is another regional ice cream flavor made popular in the upper Midwest of the U.S., including Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio. This ice cream is easily recognizable by its bright blue color and has a sweet, fruity taste.
