Job Title: Quality Control Technician – Baking Plant

Description:

Hours/Shift: Full-time/Variable Days/6:30 pm – 7 am

Pay Rate: Commensurate with experience

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for overall food safety and quality of products and packaging.

Essential Functions:

~Conducts various quality checks on ingredients, finished product, and packaging.

~Provides assistance to the production floor to ensure overall quality remains high.

~Verifies production checks and paperwork to maintain compliance with policies and procedures.

~Verifies various pieces of testing equipment daily, including calipers, scales, and thermometers.

~Performs post-cleaning and pre-operational testing & evaluations to ensure sanitary standards and allergens are removed.

~Performs finished product microbiological testing including SPC, Coliform, yeast, and mold.

~Organizes extended sensory analysis studies as assigned.

~Conducts facility inspections as assigned.

~Adheres to the company attendance policy

 

Qualifications:

~High school diploma or equivalent

~Knowledge with Microsoft Office

~Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Bio-security, and other food safety programs.

~Must be able to speak, listen, and actively communicate with team members.

~Ability to apply formulas and mathematical concepts.

~Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.

~Must be able to work in a scissor-lift at elevated heights occasionally.

~Must be able to stoop, kneel, climb, or squat on an occasional basis.

~Must be able to use hands to grip, pinch, handle, reach, or feel on a frequent basis.

~Stand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis.
