Job Title: Hermitage Plant Engineer and Cone Plant Engineer



We are hiring TWO Mechanical Engineers for our Hermitage Location. These include one Cone Plant Engineer focused on production and process engineering, and one general Plant Engineer serving all Hermitage engineering processes. These engineers will work on and assist with designing and specifying various pieces of production related equipment in the plant for existing lines and new product lines. This includes facility related support equipment, process equipment and packaging line equipment. Each role will also be responsible for managing capital projects from conception to installation. It is essential that these people have a good rapport with various production employees to train, troubleshoot and continually improve processes within the plant.

• Must be able to review drawings and develop CAD design drawings
• Ability to read, analyze and follow directions
• Must be able to speak, listen and openly communicate with team members and actively participate in team meetings
• Ability to apply formulas and mathematical concepts and to use them in product and process development
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw a valid conclusion
• Must be able to perform assigned work duties independently with minimal supervision
• Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be able to demonstrate a good Electro-Mechanical aptitude and have strong multi-tasking ability
• This position involves bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting
• Must be able to have full use of arms and legs to climb stairs and ladders to access all areas of the plant and offices
• Push or pull with up to 50 lbs. of force on an occasional basis
• Required to stand on their feet and/or up to walk 10 hours per day
• Must be able to detect audible tones and alarms
• Must be able to travel occasionally

• Manage capital projects
• Prepare/submit requests for capital expenditures
• Manage facility/production line improvements
• Design equipment upgrades
• Collect data, define problems, analyze criteria and solutions and make decisions for the collective goal of making our processes safer, more efficient and profitable
• Adherence to the company attendance policy is required, which includes expectations of punctuality and limited unapproved absences.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor


• Under the direction of the Engineering and Production Departments, activities are assigned and conducted according to company policies and procedures.

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field or comparable education
• Proficient with the following software: Microsoft office (Word, Outlook, Excel), and CAD
• Record of project conception and timely completion
• Baking and/or manufacturing experience a plus
